Love my Frolic

I love my neighborhood quilt shop because they have lots of sales!  When they are almost out of one line of fabric, it goes on sale to make room for the new fabrics.  Gotta love those sales! 

The fabric is Frolic by Sandy Garvais for Moda. 

The pattern is Time Out Quilts by Atkinson Designs.

It's a little wrinkly, but you get the idea.  Just need to figure out what I want to use for the backing and then get it finished!

Happy belated National Cheesecake Day!

I just found out that National Cheesecake Day was last week!

How I missed this, I am not sure.  So, today I celebrated with my special homemade cheesecake!

   

Doesn't it look delicious???  And let me tell you it tasted amazing!

So, since I decided to make a combined blog of two of my favorite hobbies, of course I had to make my first

quilt from fabric with desserts on it!

 

For someone who can't sew a pair of pajama pants using a pattern, I think it turned out pretty well for my first one!  Maybe because I made up my own pattern!

I LOVE this quilt!  Maybe because it's my first one or maybe because it has cakes on it, or possibly a little bit of both.

Cakes

Named as Sacher Torte, this delicious chocolate and raspberry cake is sure to please everyone!

Strawberry Layer Cake is a delicious blend of real vanilla pastry cream, yellow sponge cake and fresh strawberries, iced in a white chocolate glaze.

One of my favorties! Banana parfait with a nutella and chocolate crust.

Cheesecakes

While creating this cheesecake, I decided to mix two of my favortie things - cheesecake and peanut butter!

I love creating my own cheesecake recipes with new flavors. The top one is a brownie bottom cherry cheesecake and the bottom one a mint chocolate cheesecake! Deliciously rich!
